We took a bus from Auckland to Matamata this morning, and then took a tour of the Hobbiton film set from there. Since they're filming The Hobbit there, we can't post any of the pictures we took of the set, but I took over 200. Here are a few pictures of Matamata, which we are allowed to post.

All I have to say to you about the tour is this: Get to NZ now, while it's still all ready for filming. And if you can't do that, make sure you see the films. Peter Jackson and crew appear to be putting in all of the effort and attention to detail that made the Lord of the Rings films such successes. I think it's going to be great!
