Amsterdam (part 2)

I've already posted about half of my pictures from Amsterdam, so here are the rest. I don't have much more to say about Amsterdam. It's really beautiful, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped. Leiden, where my friend Lauren did her semester abroad, was just as beautiful as Amsterdam, and without the red light district and the coffeeshops and all the obnoxious tourists just there to get high or get laid. Unfortunately, all the spare batteries I had packed for my camera turned out to be dead, and as I had no map of Leiden, I wasn't in a position to go off and find a store to buy batteries. So I have no pictures from about three days of my fall break trip, and almost no pictures of Leiden. During those days, we visited Utrecht, which was even more beautiful than Leiden or Amsterdam. If I ever go back to the Netherlands, I will go to Utrecht with fresh batteries in my camera.
