I made it to Oxford!

I arrived in Oxford without incident, and I've spent this weekend sorting things out. I bought towels, shampoo and conditioner, soap, food, a sim for my phone, a different sim for my phone, and a pint of strawberry beer. Yesterday was so busy that I didn't even unpack until this morning, and then I went grocery shopping again. Unfortunately, I've been so busy that I haven't even been carrying my camera, but I will take pictures of Oxford soon.

I did take a few photos of the mansion. We've all been laughing about how pretentious it sounds to say, "we live in a mansion in Oxford," but it really is a mansion, and I'm definitely going to enjoy living here.

My bed is the bottom bunk, my roommate's bed is across the room. The top bunk is empty.

Our desk, with a wonderful expanse of windows

The view out the windows to the front

The view to the side

The backyard (I haven't been out there yet. It's almost nice enough to sit outside, unseasonably warm for January in the UK)

The foyer

The kitchen

The dining room

The library

Books!

  2. Will do tomorrow. I gotta admit, the reason I didn't take one today was that I made it downstairs before I realized I didn't have shoes on.

  4. You should make your bed before you take pictures of it and post it on your blog.
Since no one is sleeping above, you should go ahead and make that bed too.

  5. Ok, the top bed came like that, so it is already made, and I covered my bed with the blankets so that you wouldn't complain, and you complained anyway. Go figure.
