The Bodleian Library

"I hereby undertake not to remove from the Library, nor to mark, deface, or injure in any way, any volume, document or other object belonging to it or in its custody; not to bring into the Library, or kindle therein, any fire or flame, and not to smoke in the Library; and I promise to obey all rules of the Library."

Today I recited this oath and received my library card to the Bodleian Library. I'm very excited about this, both because I collect library cards from all the places I've lived, and because the Bodleian Library is pretty awesome!

I also went to the covered market, which has been on my to-do list ever since I returned from five weeks in Oxford and realized I'd completely missed one of Oxford's highlights. I was not disappointed in Ben's Cookies, which has cookies so gooey that I completely covered four fingers in chocolate while trying to eat a triple chocolate cookie!
