Rachel's First Day in Paris!

On Friday, I took the Eurostar to Paris and met Rachel at the airport. We picked up lunch at the airport and ate it on the RER on the way to Paris. We checked into our hotel and walked across the river to the Fashion Museum of Paris. I've been in most of the museums of Paris, but I'd never been in the Fashion Museum before because it's only open during special exhibits. Luckily, there was an exhibit on Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs, which was really cool. I had heard the name Louis Vuitton before, but that was about it. I'm clueless about fashion. Rachel explained to me that the original Louis Vuitton made luggage (because I couldn't figure out why there were wooden trunks in a fashion exhibit), and Marc Jacobs is actually American, not French (which is why his scribbled notes were in English). Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take any photos of the exhibit.

Rachel's first gelato: on the banks of the Seine!

Then we got some pasta and had a picnic dinner right in front of the pyramid at the Louvre:

Rachel broke the rules ... just like Josephine!
We got into the Louvre for free because it was a Friday night and we're both under 25. I'm going to be pretty mad when I turn 25. The Louvre was cool, as always. The Mona Lisa was a mosh pit, as always.
