Valentine's Day in Oxford!

On Tuesday I had to go to class, so I showed Lauren around St. Anne's College. It's not large, but the library is pretty cool looking:

Look how studious I am!

While I was in class Lauren took a tour of Christchurch College, including the great hall where parts of the Harry Potter movies were filmed.

After that we had lunch at the Eagle and Child pub, famous for being the meeting place of the Inklings, J.R.R. Tolkein and C.S. Lewis's writers' club. It's also considered to have the best fish and chips in Oxford!

Then we walked to the Bodleian Library.

My little "highlights of Oxford" tour ended at the Covered Market, where we had  Ben's Cookies AND a MooMoo's Milkshake. I had a sugar high for a while after that!

Don't be too jealous, Kelsey, but that's a Bueno Milkshake

In the evening, we celebrated Valentine's Day by going to a Champagne and Chocolates event at the Oxford Union. It was really fun to get dressed up for Valentine's Day, although it's harder to be dressed up here because you have to walk everywhere, so you have to be concerned with being warm as well as dressy. Luckily, I got some tights at Primark, and Tuesday wasn't too cold.
