High Tea in Castle Combe

Last weekend I went to Bath with three of my friends, Jennifer, Alyssa, and Megan. We decided to go by car, a decision motivated by the fact that we wanted to see Stonehenge, which is rather out of the way, and the train tickets to Bath aren't particularly cheap either. We actually did a really good job of driving (and by we, I mean a combined effort of one driver and two navigators while I sat in the back seat trying not to offer unhelpful commentary since I know almost nothing about driving). Because we had a car, we had the opportunity to stop at a small town on the way called Castle Combe. Castle Combe is a tiny stone village with a beautiful manor house which offers a very expensive, but delicious, afternoon tea.
English afternoon tea is a wonder to behold. We had tea with cream and sugar, finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and four small cakes each. It was every girl's dream tea party!

I had Earl Grey, but resisted the urge to order it hot.

I couldn't get a good picture of the full plates, so here's the empty ones.
