The Scream

I was getting tired and I was thinking about going back to the airport when I decided to make one more stop. My map listed the National Gallery, which had among its collection the Munch painting, The Scream. I went to the museum, which not only had free admission, but also free lockers. It felt wonderful to take off my backpack, which was really weighing me down. I saw the Scream, which was cool, although Munch is not really my style.
The whole experience was more important because it reminded me to take all my opportunities. I could have just slept in the airport for six hours. I hadn’t slept in about a day and a half, my stomach was churning, my backpack was heavy, and I was a little bit afraid of getting lost. But I decided to leave the airport anyway, and I’m so glad I did.
I wasn’t allowed to take pictures inside the Museum, so this picture is from Wikipedia:
One last note on Oslo: we tend to pronounce it Oss-low, but it's pronounced locally as Osh-low. I noticed this on the train as they were calling the station, but I just read it on Wikipedia, so it must be true, and not just the train voice lisping. So if you ever end up there, remember to pronounce it Osh-low.
