Paris in the Snow

It snowed on my last day in Paris. I would have taken a lot of pictures just because it was my last day, but I was lucky to have such a beautiful day to take pictures of. I didn't take many pictures during the semester because I didn't want to look like a tourist while I was living in Paris. In fact, in the whole semester, I took 1,000 photos. On my second trip to Europe I took 1,000 photos in 10 days.
With my camera stowed in my purse, I could pretend to be a native Parisienne, at least until I opened my mouth and spoke with my American accent. I had the odd experience of sitting next to people who were speaking English on the metro, totally unaware that I could understand them very clearly. People will say all sorts of things when they assume no one can understand them.
