Big Rock Circles

After Salisbury Cathedral, we proceeded to Stonehenge. Frankly, aside from the mystery surrounding its building, Stonehenge is quite boring, but it makes a great photo opportunity because it’s so famous and distinctive, and everyone has to go there so they can say they’ve been there. I enjoyed taking fun pictures with my friends.

After Stonehenge, we went to Avebury, a stone circle many times larger than Stonehenge, but far less famous. What the pictures won’t tell you about Avebury is that the ground is covered in sheep droppings. Besides the nastiness of the ground, the site is pretty cool. You can actually climb on the stones, and there’s a whole town and a pub inside the stone circle.
