Den Haag (The Hague)

I decided to put this in a separate post because there were so many pictures from the Escher and Calder exhibits. In between and after museums, this is what we saw of the Hague:

Nijntje the Musical!

Delicious!

The 30th of April is Queen's Day, a national holiday in the Netherlands, and some things were already set up for the celebration. We got to have oliebollen and see all the orange decorations! (the royal family in the Netherlands is the House of Orange, so orange is the color for Queen's Day)

An oliebol

The Peace Palace, home of the ICC and the ICJ
Then we went to the beach at Scheveningen, which was a simple tram ride from the center of the Hague. I wish I lived within a tram ride of the ocean. I'd be sunburnt all the time, but I'd love it!

I wish there were canals in Columbus
