Brussels to Lille to Paris to Barcelona

From Brussels I took the train to Paris, stopping in Lille. I could have gone directly to Paris, but I'd never seen Lille, and I thought it would be too hard to spend only a few hours in Paris (my favorite city on Earth). Lille was nice, but somehow I've ended up with too much luggage to comfortably carry. I've been intending to throw things away, but it's nice to have things like sunscreen and extra socks. As a result, I ended up enjoying Lille by doing quite a bit of people-watching.

I arrived in Barcelona just after sunrise, and headed straight for the beach. I had intended to spend an hour or two there, but six hours later I realized that I should probably go check in to the hostel. It was so restful just to sit by the ocean and think. I applied SPF-50 to my face every hour, so I got a lot more freckles, but I didn't burn. (Probably the first time I can remember going to the beach and not getting sunburned!) I stuck my feet in the water, but it was quite cold, so I wasn't even tempted to try to put my swimsuit on. The only people I saw actually swimming were wearing wetsuits.

The beach just after sunrise; so peaceful

Six hours later; not so peaceful
I had intended to take photos to my left and my right, to give a sense of the whole beach, but there was a topless woman on my left. I don't know what the etiquette is for this situation. I wouldn't like someone to take a photo of me sunbathing topless, but that is just one of the many reasons why I choose not to sunbathe topless. I decided not to risk being rude, so I just took a photo in the other direction.
