Boston!

I often travel with my friend Kelsey, and this summer we decided to travel to Boston to visit our friend Lauren. Lauren is a graphic designer with an awesome job in Boston. I'm happy for her, but I don't get to see her more than once every six months or so. So Kelsey and I flew to Boston!

Our first order of business was food, of course, so we went to Quincy Market to get some Clam Chowder. Of course, neither of us actually ended up eating clam chowder, but my butternut squash and crab bisque was delicious, and Kelsey had some wonderful lobster bisque.

After lunch, we headed for the Aquarium. It's small, but really fun. I love penguins, and the Boston Aquarium has the little penguins which are native to Melbourne Australia! I got to see them in their natural habitat last summer, so I now feel a special affinity for this particular type of penguins. Plus, they're cute!

I had to fight some little kids just to be able to touch the sea star!

After Lauren finished work, we met her for dinner. She suggested an awesome place called Za. In case you didn't know, Za is short for pizza, and is a very useful word in Scrabble games. We had Macaroni and Cheese Pizza and a pizza with strawberries on it!
